Healthcare x Digital (HxD) is a program of The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, led by ACCJ Kansai and the ACCJ Healthcare Committee. Hxd‘s mission is to connect innovators with leading healthcare and pharmaceutical companies to develop and scale solutions that improve access, build the hospital of the future, and empower patients.

  • Brainstorming 2019
    GMs from Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, Bayer came together with ACCJ to discuss new ways to generate solutions for healthcare delivery and access.
  • Kickoff / First event 2020
    Deloitte joins and the Initiative launched its first pitch event.
  • Second Pitch event 2021
    10 applicants were selected out of 40 pitches, of which 5 proceeded to take part in the final Ideas Day.
  • First ideathon 2022
    Participants were invited to go through a series of workshops in order to identify existing challenges and develop novel ideas for healthcare delivery and access.
  • Third Pitch event 2023
    Aiming to find the next big idea in healthcare that leverages generative AI.
  • SelectUSA x HxD Pitch event 2024
    Partnered with the SelectUSA Japan team and the U.S. Embassy for an exclusive opportunity to attend the SelectUSA Investment Summit.
